Overview
The Clozd app for ChatGPT lets you ask questions about your win-loss program directly in ChatGPT. Ask about deal outcomes, competitors, and buyer feedback in plain language, and ChatGPT answers using the interviews and call data in your Clozd programs.
The app is listed in ChatGPT's app directory, so you can install it and sign in without copying a server URL or turning on developer mode. It uses the same Clozd MCP server described in Connecting to Clozd via MCP, so you get the same data and tools.
The app is read-only. ChatGPT can view your Clozd data, but it can't add, edit, or delete anything in the Clozd Platform. Access follows your Clozd account, so you only see the programs and deals you already have permission to view.

Before you begin
You need:
- A Clozd account. Sign in with the same login you use for the Clozd Platform.
- A paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu). The Clozd app isn't available on the Free plan.
How you connect depends on your ChatGPT plan:
| Your ChatGPT plan | How to connect |
|---|---|
| Plus or Pro | Install Clozd yourself from the app directory. |
| Business, Enterprise, or Edu | A workspace admin enables Clozd for your workspace first. Then each member connects with their own Clozd login. |
| Free | Not available. |
Note: ChatGPT labels this area Apps or Plugins, depending on your account. The steps are the same either way. On Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans, only workspace admins and owners can enable apps for the workspace. If you aren't an admin, ask your ChatGPT admin to complete the admin steps below.
Connect Clozd to ChatGPT (Plus and Pro plans)
1. In ChatGPT, open Apps (or Plugins) from the sidebar.
2. Search for Clozd and select it.
3. Click Install plugin (or Connect, if that's what you see).
4. Sign in to Clozd

A Clozd sign-in window opens. Enter your Clozd email address. The next screen shows the login method your organization uses (password, Google, Okta, or SAML).
5. Complete sign-in
Clozd will then appear as connected under Settings → Apps.
Connect Clozd to ChatGPT (Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans)
Step 1: Enable Clozd for your workspace (admins only)
This is a one-time step that makes Clozd available to everyone in your ChatGPT workspace. Enabling the app doesn't give anyone access to Clozd data. Each person still signs in with their own Clozd account.
1. In ChatGPT, go to Workspace settings → Apps (or Admin → Plugins).
2. Find Clozd and click Enable.
3. On Enterprise and Edu workspaces that use role-based access, choose which roles can use Clozd and save.
Note: Admins can also set when ChatGPT asks before using an app. Because every Clozd tool is read-only, Allow read actions lets members use Clozd without approving each request.
Step 2: Connect your Clozd account (all members)
1. In ChatGPT, open Apps (or Plugins) from the sidebar.
2. Search for Clozd and select it.
3. Click Install plugin or Connect, then complete sign-in with your Clozd account.
If you see Disabled by admin instead, Clozd hasn't been enabled for your workspace or role yet. Ask your ChatGPT workspace admin to complete Step 1.
Use Clozd in a conversation
Once connected, you can call on Clozd in any conversation.
1. Open a new conversation in ChatGPT.
2. Type @Clozd, or click + and choose Clozd.
3. Ask your question.
To confirm that the connection is working, ask: "What tools do you have from Clozd?" ChatGPT should list the available Clozd tools.
ChatGPT may ask for your approval before it reads data from Clozd. To skip these prompts, go to Settings → Apps, select Clozd, and set the permission to Allow read actions.
Choosing a program
Clozd data is organized by program. If you have access to more than one program, ChatGPT may ask which one to use, or you can name it in your question (for example: "In our North America win-loss program, why did we lose to Competitor X?"). ChatGPT pulls data from one program at a time.
Questions to start with
- "Why did we lose to [competitor] in enterprise last quarter?"
- "What's our win rate by region this year?"
- "Can you show me buyer quotes about pricing from closed-lost deals?"
- "Which accounts are flagged at risk right now?"
- "Where do our sales calls and buyer interviews disagree?"
For a full list of the data ChatGPT can access, see the "What data is available?" section of Connecting to Clozd via MCP.
FAQs
I already added Clozd to ChatGPT as a custom app using the MCP server URL. Do I need to do anything else?
No. Existing custom connections have automatically been moved to the Clozd app.
Can ChatGPT change data in Clozd?
No. The app is read-only. ChatGPT can search and read your Clozd data, but it can't create, edit, or delete anything.
Will I see data I can't see in the Clozd Platform?
No. Your Clozd role permissions apply to the app. If you can only view certain programs or data in Clozd, the same limits apply in ChatGPT.
Which ChatGPT plans can use the Clozd app?
Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu. On Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans, a workspace admin shas to enable Clozd before members can connect. The Free plan isn't supported.
Clozd shows "Disabled by admin." What should I do?
Ask your ChatGPT workspace admin to enable Clozd under Workspace settings → Apps (or Admin → Plugins) and, if your workspace uses roles, to give your role access.
ChatGPT says it doesn't have access to Clozd. How do I fix it?
Make sure you selected Clozd in the conversation (type @Clozd or click + → Clozd). If it still doesn't work, go to Settings → Apps, disconnect Clozd, and connect again.
What does ChatGPT share with Clozd?
When you use the app, ChatGPT may share relevant parts of your conversation with Clozd to answer your request. Clozd handles that information under the Clozd Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Can I use Clozd with other AI tools besides ChatGPT?
Yes. Clozd also has a connector for Claude, and the Clozd MCP server works with Cursor, Microsoft Copilot, and other MCP-compatible tools. See Connecting Clozd to Claude and Connecting to Clozd via MCP.
