Overview
The Clozd app for Zoom lets Zoom AI Companion answer questions using your Clozd win-loss data. Ask about win rates, why you win and lose deals, competitors, or what buyers said, and AI Companion answers from your published Clozd interviews.
The app connects Zoom to the Clozd MCP server. It is read-only: it never creates, changes or deletes anything in Clozd or Zoom.
This article covers:
Before you start
You need all of the following:
- Zoom: a Zoom Workplace Pro plan or higher with a Custom AI Companion license, and access to AI Studio. Depending on your account settings, a Zoom admin may need to install the app or create the agent.
- Clozd: a Clozd user account in an organization that has MCP enabled. To check whether MCP is enabled, ask your Clozd account admin or email support@clozd.com.
- Permissions: the app uses your existing Clozd role permissions. You only see the programs and data you can already see in Clozd.
Add the app
Setup takes about 5 minutes.
1. Install the app from the Zoom App Marketplace
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Search for Clozd MCP Server and open its listing.
- Click Add, then approve the install.
2. Add the Clozd tools to an AI Companion agent
- In the Zoom web portal, go to AI Studio > Custom Agents.
- Click Create, choose Start from blank, and fill in the required fields. Or open an existing agent to edit it.
- Under Tools, click Add Tools, select the Clozd tools, and click Next.
3. Sign in to Clozd
- Click Authorize. A Clozd sign-in window opens.
- Sign in with your Clozd credentials or your company's identity provider (for example Okta, Google or Microsoft).
- Approve access. You return to Zoom, and the Clozd tools load in the agent.
- Click Confirm to finish.
To check the connection, ask the agent: "What Clozd programs can I access?" It should list your Clozd programs.
Use the app
Ask questions in plain language in the agent that has the Clozd tools. Name the Clozd program you want, since the app reads one program at a time.
| Ask about | Example prompt |
|---|---|
| Win rates | What is our win rate this year in the [program name] program? |
| Loss reasons | What are the top reasons we lose deals? |
| Competitors | Which competitors do we lose to most, and why? |
| Buyer quotes | Show me buyer quotes about pricing. |
| Recent deals | List our 5 most recent lost deals. |
| Themes | Search our interviews for mentions of implementation. |
What data the app uses: published Clozd interviews and the deal details tied to them, such as outcome, amount, competitors, decision drivers and buyer quotes. Clozd does not store any Zoom data. Your questions and the answers stay in Zoom AI Companion, under your Zoom account's data settings.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Clozd doesn't appear in AI Studio | Make sure the app is installed under Manage > Added Apps, and that your account has a Custom AI Companion license. |
| The Clozd sign-in fails | Confirm you can sign in at app.clozd.com with the same credentials. If you can, ask your Clozd admin to confirm MCP is enabled for your organization. |
| The agent says it can't find a program | Ask "What Clozd programs can I access?" and use the exact program name it returns. If a program is missing, ask your Clozd admin for access. |
| Answers are empty or incomplete | The app only reads published interviews. Deals without a published interview won't appear. |
| Clozd tools stopped working | Your sign-in may have expired. Open the agent, click Authorize again and sign in to Clozd. |
Remove the app
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Go to Manage > Added Apps, or search for Clozd MCP Server.
- Select the app and click Remove.
- Optional: in AI Studio > Custom Agents, remove the Clozd tools from any agents that used them.
What happens after you remove it: Zoom's access to Clozd is revoked right away, and the Clozd tools stop working in every agent. Your Clozd account and data are not affected. Clozd stores no Zoom data, so there is nothing to delete on the Clozd side. Past AI Companion conversations stay in Zoom under your Zoom account's data settings.
