In the Roles section, you can quickly see how many users pertain to each role, manage the roles you have created, and set rules for role-based access to the Clozd Platform.
This article contains the following sections:
When you open the Roles section under the Admin tab, it will look like this:
You will be able to see each role, and how many users pertain to that role, edit roles, and create new roles.
Managing Roles
The default roles are Admin and User. You cannot change the permissions of these two default roles, however, you are able to create custom roles. By creating custom roles, you can also
Admin
Admins are granted configuration access, meaning that they will have access to the Configuration tab in every program of your organization. They will also have access to the Admin page and can add users, manage roles, and monitor usage.
Users
Users have view-only access to every program. This means they will be able to see all published feedback and use filters to analyze aggregate findings on the various tabs of the Clozd Platform, but they will not have access to the Configuration tab.
Adding Roles
You can add new roles according to your specific needs. Add a new role by clicking on the blue Create Role button in the top right corner of the page. This will pull up the following window:
Name your role and then choose the Programs you want the role to have access to. Once you have done that click Next.
Define Access
Programs
Select which of your programs you would like users with this role to have access to. Choose “Configure” if you would like individuals assigned to that role to have access to the Configuration tab and “View Only” if you don’t want them to have access to the Configuration tab.
Organization Permissions
Choose which sections of the Admin page they will have access to. You can provide them access to manage users and roles, view user usage, or have no access.
Users in this role
Quickly see at a glance which users are assigned to this new custom role.
If you assign the same person to multiple roles, the access and permissions of each role they are assigned will add to each other. For instance, if you assign them as a User with view-only access to every program and also assign them to a new role that has Configure access to a specific program, they will now have Configure access to that program.
